Frequently asked questions

Guest rates are $200 per person for a full day of guided fishing or limits.

We offer discounts for children under the age of 16 and veterans, please contact us for more information!

Although you are more than welcome to bring your personal fishing gear, it is not necessary. We will provide you with top quality fishing equipment. We have the best rods and reels rigged up with the proper tackle and bait ready to go based on what we are fishing for on your day.

We also have all the necessary supplies to clean, filet and bag your catch at the end of day for you!

  • Your current CA Fishing License, this is an absolute must! If our planned trip is for sturgeon or steelhead you will need an additional tag included with your license. Keep in mind you can purchase a fishing license just for the day (not the entire year) if you would like. Give us a call if you have any questions about where to purchase one locally, we’d be more than happy to help!
  • Make sure to bring any food or drinks you will want for the day and we will have an ice chest onboard for these items. Alcohol is permitted for adults over 21.
  • Proper attire based on the weather. It’s often best to bring an extra layer of clothing for the early morning that can be removed when it starts to heat up. Keep in mind, the temperature is typically a few degrees lower on the water.
  • Under California law, every child under 13 years of age on a moving recreational vessel of any length must wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket in serviceable condition and of a type and size appropriate for their weight and size. We provide adult life jackets and always keep a throwable personal flotation device onboard, but we ask that you come properly equipped with the appropriate life jacket for any child under the age of 13.
  • Sunglasses, hats, sunblock, bug repellent….all the common items that will provide you with a comfortable trip. And, don’t forget your camera!! Of course, if you do, we are more than happy to send you any picture we take on the day of the trip.
  • An ice chest to bring home your catch of the day!

There are a lot of accommodations near the boat launches we launch from. If you are bringing a travel trailer or would like to camp, we highly recommend staying right on the river at Woodson Bridge. Another optional RV Park is the Heritage RV Park, located in town.

Below are some local hotels for every price range and preference.

Our 22 ft North River boat is an inboard jet boat that can comfortably accommodate 4 clients. Of course, we understand you may have additional people in your party and we may be able to make an exception for an additional person, if you don’t mind closer quarters.

We also know other fishing guides we trust to take additional party members and fish along side us in another boat. Give us a call and we can come up with a plan!

We will meet in the early morning (unless you have booked an evening trip) at the boat launch. We utilize a variety of boat launches in a given season based on what we are fishing for and where the fish are currently biting. We will notify you of the launch location and time to meet prior to your fishing day, as well as answer any other questions you may have. Once we load onto the boat we will cruise the river to the perfect fishing hole and drop our lines.

Your guide will rig all your rods with the proper bait and tackle for the fish we are targeting and let the fishing begin! You can feel free to eat and drink at any time during your trip.

We like our guided trips to include lots of laughter, good conversation and tight lines!

Making a fishing trip reservation is simple and easy!  You can contact us directly from our website contact form, call or text us directly at 530.917.8901 or even send us an email or message us on our Facebook page! We can make sure the date you are wanting is available and get you in the books for your fishing trip!

Yes, we ask for a deposit of 50% of the total cost of your trip in order to reserve your seats on the boat. This ensures that we avoid last minute cancellations.

With limited days during a given season for fishing a particular species we don’t want to turn down other potential clients if its not necessary.

We accept cash, checks and money orders, as well as accept payment via CashApp.

We ask that cancellations be made 14 days prior to your booked fishing trip in order for your deposit to be fully refunded. This provides enough time to allow the date to be available for other clients to be able to book that day.

If you need to change the date of your trip, we will always do our best to accommodate you. Please be advised that if it is within the two week cancellation period, there is a risk we will not be able to refund the deposit.

We handle last minute bookings on an individual basis. We will always try to accommodate your needs, and if the slot is available we would be more than happy to put you on the books and get you on the water!
